Unit Supervisor – Settlement

Job Description

  • A prominent Bank in Qatar is looking to Hire a Unit Supervisor to oversee the timely settlements of all cards Scheme Settlements and processing of accounting entries in GL including:
  • Product reconciliation and processing of accounting entries in General Ledger for ATM, Cards billing, Invoices and Settlements.
  • Identify and resolve Settlement exceptions and escalate issues to Section Head
  • Submit ATM, Visa, Master, Diners and Pay card settlements trackers to Section Head as per SLA and review Settlement related Suspense account Proofs and take necessary action to clear the O/S items.
  •  Follow up with Schemes, Card business, corporate operations, Finance, Ops Risk, Internal and External Audit in relation with reconciliations & settlement and ad-hoc task/assignments.

Skills

  •  Significant experience in performing Cards/Nostro/ATM settlements and GL reconciliations.
  •  Experience in investigating and resolving un-reconciled balances in reconciliations.
  •  Knowledge of financial accounting of retail and corporate products.
  • Project management.
  • Co-ordination of multiple teams.
  • Excellent communication and organizational
  • Advanced Microsoft excel including dynamic excel presentation.
  • Knowledge of Equation/CARS/ATM/credit cards systems.

Required Qualifications‎

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or equivalent

Required Experience:‎

  • 7+ years’ relevant experience with 3+ years in a supervisor role.
